World Diabetes Day is commemorated annually on November 14th. FIMRC will use the day to bring together all three communities that participate in the Diabetes & Hypertension Club in an event to educate the community about early detection and treatment to prevent complications. We will invite a diabetes specialist to address the group, open a space for patients to talk about their experiences in the club, and recognize the support of our community partners. The funds for this project will go toward logistical costs, transportation and healthy snacks for attendees.
