There are nine preschools, elementary schools and high schools within the town limits of Anconcito, and none of them are equipped with a school nurse or even basic first aid supplies. Additionally, the health center in Anconcito is only open from Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, so anyone in need of first aid after hours must hire transport to the nearest hospital 20 minutes away or wait until the health center opens. A simple first aid kit and a training seminar for teachers and community leaders would equip them to handle unexpected situations that arise in the schools or after hours in the communities until the patient can get to a nearby clinic or hospital. Funds raised will go towards buying the first aid kits and providing training to the teachers and community leaders.
