Almost 50% of all children under the age of 5 are malnourished in the Project Limón area. In order to help decrease the prevalence of malnutrition, a new initiative has been started by providing monthly home-visits to all malnourished children. These visits include offering monthly weight checks, education on proper nutrition, as well as multivitamins and nutritional supplements as indicated by the pediatrician. The funds raised will be used to ensure a constant supply of those vitamins and nutritional supplements.
