FIMRC's “Micro-health insurance program" at project Restauración will have a major focus on improving the treatment of water in households. Initially we plan on providing families with a simple water filter for their homes.

The families that are then willing to participate in the program will have to attend a weekly training and pass two home inspections (topping off water sources, learning how to manage in a more efficient way the use of water, how to clean the filters, having the fridge clean, topping the latrine and having access to toilet paper, etc.). If they commit to following our advice and keep attending to our trainings, they will earn points that will be converted into prizes, including things such as home appliances and water tanks, cement for floors in homes, and other various home repairs.

The money from this project will go into the preparation and hosting of the courses, the materials at the start such as promotional materials and lesson materials, and then ultimately the filters, home appliances, water tanks, cement, and various other home appliances and repairs.
