Obesity is a disease that greatly impacts the population in Costa Rica; education and information regarding obesity are essential for our patients. There is a high incidence rate in very young women with body mass indexes that place them in the category of morbidly obese. FIMRC staff hope to develop a specialized program that helps them achieve nutritional control and engage in physical activities. This program would help them address their health problems, hopefully reversing their obese status. The program will provide training and follow-ups for 15 ladies at $300 per month.
