The FIMRC site in the Dominican Republic is heavily oriented toward health education and community outreach. One of our most popular (and most fun!) activities with children is our health fairs. We set up in a large space in a selected community and have tables with health-related activities; participants from the community must collect a stamp from each table to be entered into a raffle for healthy prizes. This is a great resource for the communities and is always extremely popular with participants and volunteers! We plan to hold two health fairs per year.
