The FIMRC site in the Dominican Republic is heavily oriented toward health education and community outreach. One of our most popular (and most fun!) activities with children is our health fairs. We rent a large space in the community and set up several tables with health-related activities; participants from the community must collect a stamp from each table to be entered for prize raffles. This is a great resource for the communities and is always extremely popular with locals and with volunteers. We would like to hold two health fairs per year.
