Girls Leading Our World/Boys Respecting Others are leadership camps for girls and boys that were developed as a part of the U.S. government initiative Let Girls Learn in partnership with Peace Corps. These camps are 4-day long interactive leadership conferences that aim to empower youth through activities focusing on self-esteem, leadership, goal setting, and healthy relationships. By focusing on topics such as these, our camp will result in youth with an increased sense of control over their own circumstances and the tools necessary to make informed decisions which will enable them to achieve their goals in life. The camps will be run in partnership with local Peace Corps Volunteers and will also provide in-depth training to local leaders who can replicate the camps later. The funding will go towards educational materials for the camp as well as food, lodging, and transportation for the participants.
