100% of all donations made towards this campaign will be used directly in support of Project La Merced, Peru.

This is FIMRC's third year participating in #GivingTuesday. After successful campaigns and program implementation in Nicaragua and Costa Rica, this year we are highlighting our nutrition program in La Merced, Peru.

We will focus on anemia screening and prevention. By purchasing equipment and necessary supplies, we will conduct visits to partner communities and institutions twice a year to detect anyone at risk for anemia. We will test all children and begin working with anyone identified with anemia to overcome their condition. Our goal is to raise $2000 this #GivingTuesday, which will mean we can reach 500 children throughout the year. That means that for every $2.50 donated, a different child will be screened!
