Through FIMRC’s community surveys we learned that the community of Anconcito truly wants to learn about first aid and CPR. This is the reason why two of our CHIRP volunteers created from the ground up a first aid and CPR workshop for us to implement in each neighborhood in Anconcito.

In less than 4 months our volunteers were able to complete the workshop in half of the neighborhoods. To our pleasant surprise, the workshop attracted more participants than what we expected and a total of 230 people attended our first aid and CPR workshops. Thanks to the great effort of our CHIRP volunteers we were able to respond to the community needs in a very short period of time.

Per the community request we are planning to implement this workshop in public schools once we finish the second half of Anconcito’s neighborhoods. The $250 will be used for a training CPR manikin and protective face shields for the participants to fully simulate CPR in a more realistic manner.
