Friends and family - please join me in my goal to help raise $1000 for Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children!

After completing FIMRC's Virtual Global Health Leadership Training certificate program I knew that I wanted to get involved more. My experience with FIMRC was phenomenal. I was introduced and exposed to many aspects of global health and was able to contribute directly - helping to create an educational summer program for the primary school children in Project La Merced, Peru.

Now, together, we can make an even bigger impact in our communities and help tackle the hardships the world is currently facing.

FIMRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to healthcare for low-resource and medically underserved families around the world. They do this by providing clinical care to medically underserved communities and by facilitating public health campaigns to foster prevention and health education.

We are raising money for Project Limón, Nicaragua! Any donation will go directly to the site helping with programming and other needs such as medication. Established in 2009, Project Limón has grown into a vital part of the community and it really encompasses all of the amazing things FIMRC does! There is a pediatrician and an OB/GYN at the clinic as well as a program for youth with physical and developmental disabilities. FIMRC staff also spend a lot of time in the community doing house visits with people with diabetes, pregnant women, and post-natal checkups. Your contribution will directly keep programming like this funded through things like the purchasing of supplies, medications, and paying staff and specialists.

Update as of 12/11/2020: Over the past month Nicaragua has suffered blows from multiple hurricanes, devastating many communities like the one FIMRC operates in in Limón. Now more than ever they can use your donation! Funds will directly help people with emergency aid, shelter, food, etc. Thank you so much for your continued support!
