At FIMRC La Merced, staff and volunteers carry out regular health campaigns in various locations such as weekly markets, community anniversary events, community celebrations and festivals with people chatting and having fun, kids playing, music blaring and general life happening all around! One important aspect of the campaigns is monitoring blood pressure levels, but this takes skill, skill and a good ear to be able accurately measure results. Many of the volunteers have just learned to take vitals and the external noise, the stress and the pressure to keep attending the queue of patients could impact the accuracy of the readings. Having an automatic digital blood pressure monitor could give a more accurate method to deal with noisy campaigns!
