Diabetes is a chronic disease that is ever present in the population around Project Alajuelita, however due to the emigration situation of most of the patients we treat, they cannot regularly receive the treatment they need. FIMRC staff would like to develop a program that will allow patients with diabetes to be better address their health situation. This program would provide the proper medication, carry out necessary laboratory tests, and provide health education and support from professionals in the field of nutrition and sports. The goal is to enroll 10 patients in the program this year and costs are $85 per patient per month.
