FIMRC Anconcito has successfully carried out 6 sessions each of Chicas Maravillas and Superman clubs for girls and boys. These after-school clubs focus on health education such as nutrition, hygiene, and exercise, as well as life skills like healthy decision-making, self-esteem, goal setting, and conflict resolution. Almost 200 children ages 8-12 have graduated from the 8-week sessions, and Project Anconcito plans to continue offering the courses throughout the year, each time working in a different neighborhood and inviting new participants who live nearby. $250 would allow us to buy materials and supplies for the courses throughout the entire year.
